GChat is proud to announce an upgrade to its Video Chat hosting service. Starting from today, not only will the company's hosted chat customers receive the latest version 3.0 of the software as standard, they will also benefit from a growing exclusive selection of official GChat plugins. All current plugins integrate seamlessly into the new admin panel and are very easy to get started with. Experienced chat owners can get up and running with new extensions in minutes.

At present, customers already on or wishing to subscribe to one of the company's hosted plans, for fifty or more users, will benefit. All GChat hosted chat owners with fifty users or more will be able to request a free installation of the Chat Robot plugin; whilst any hosted chats with one hundred or more users will qualify for the free Trivia Bot and Chat Robot bundle at no extra cost.

Trivia Bot is the latest plugin from the GChat development team, and more information about it can be found on its feature page. This is on top of an already solid foundation of expert free technical support, free upgrades and free DDoS protection. Please note, that Visichat 2.6 or earlier is not compatible with Video Chat 3.0 plugins, so a full upgrade is required for hosted chats still running older software. It is however possible to request the upgrade to Video Chat 3.0 and plugins at the same time.

GChat hosted chat service will also receive much sought after CMS integration options in the medium to long term, following popular demand. This will remove the need for chat owners, who want greater levels of customisation and integration, to run a separate server just for their CMS needs. In the coming months, GChat will strive to deliver exceptional integration potential in an easy to access, fully-managed package. The work has begun on adding vBulletin support to all current hosted plans, with more to come afterwards.

The team is also actively working on patching in improvements to the core Video Chat 3.0 package in anticipation of its imminent commercial release on Monday, 4 February. This includes the latest stability and performance tweaks identified from the earlier hosted chat deployment programme, which is still ongoing. Heading farther into 2013, new development efforts will focus on adding additional payment gateways, refreshing the interface and simplifying the updates and patching process for chat administrators, letting license holders benefits from the hosted chat work the company does and vice versa.
